Vagharshak Torosyan
In Explosion of Android, Torosyan constructs a face whose equilibrium is maintained amid saturation. The symmetry of the features establishes compositional order, yet the surface is built from interlocking planes of red, green, ochre, and shadowed black that cluster most intensely around the head. The accumulation feels deliberate. Thought appears layered rather than spontaneous.
The title situates the work within a technological vocabulary. The figure inhabits that condition without theatricality. Identity here is formed through stored impressions, regulated perception, and internal architecture. The “explosion” becomes an exposure of density—an unveiling of the layered systems that sustain awareness. The composition holds, even as complexity remains visible.
