In this work, we were interested in developing a surface that could operate without a fixed center or hierarchy. The frame takes shape as a continuous ornamental field, where structure emerges through the density and interdependence of its elements rather than through imposed order.

This approach draws from the Nasrid interiors, where walls dissolve into pattern and the distinction between structure and ornament softens. Here, material is reduced to a connected lattice that carries continuity across the entire plane, allowing the frame to read less as a boundary and more as a field extending beyond its edges.

As light moves through the structure, it produces a shifting register of shadow that reinforces its spatial depth. The work develops as a continuum—constructed rather than applied.
